Our Mini AAC Communication Board Set provides quick and easy access to essential communication across a range of everyday situations. Compact, durable and designed to be kept close at hand, these boards are ideal for children, teens and adults who benefit from visual and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) supports.

Each set includes 5 double-sided A6 Mini AAC Communication Boards:

Everyday Communication – core vocabulary for expressing wants, needs, choices and everyday messages.

Emotions & Regulation – supports users to communicate how they are feeling and what they may need to help regulate.

Pain & Health – helps communicate pain, discomfort, illness and health-related needs when it may be difficult to explain what is wrong.

Mealtime – practical vocabulary for communicating wants, needs, preferences and choices during meals and snacks.

School – useful school-based vocabulary to support communication, participation and independence throughout the school day.

What’s Included

Each set includes 5 double-sided A6 Mini AAC Communication Boards and a custom lanyard, making it easy to keep the boards together and readily accessible at home, school, therapy, day programs or out in the community.

Four of the boards feature 12 symbols on the front and 12 symbols on the reverse, providing 24 communication symbols per board while keeping the design compact and easy to navigate. The Pain & Health board has a specialised double-sided layout designed specifically for communicating health and pain-related information.

Made using quality cardstock and strong, heavy-duty laminate, the boards are designed for durability and frequent everyday use.

The set is available in two options:

Colour-Coded – symbols are colour coded by language/word category to provide additional visual organisation and support symbol finding.

No Colour Coding – a clean, neutral version without category colour backgrounds.

More Than Just Pointing

AAC works best when communication partners use it too. Parents, carers, educators, therapists and support workers can model the symbols while they speak, helping the user learn where words are located and how the boards can be used to communicate different messages.

There is no expectation that a user must say the word aloud when selecting a symbol. The boards provide an additional, accessible way for someone to communicate and have their message understood.
