AAC simply means Augmentative and Alternative Communication. AAC comes in many different forms and can be used by anyone who has difficulty with their speech and language. AAC provides another way of communicating besides talking. 

Our AAC are classified as Low Tech AAC.  An iPad for example is classified as a High tech AAC.  Not everyone is able to use or has access to iPads, plus it is always good to have some kind of a back up for when technology goes wrong. 

Our low Tech AAC are another form of visual aids. They allow the user to communicate by pointing to pictures, symbols and text to express their needs.
